Woofstock 2016

We finally made it to Woofstock!!

The Woofstock they had in the fall we couldn’t go because Ellie just had her surgery and couldn’t play with doggies.  So we were so excited that we got to bring her this summer!  She had a great time – of course got lots of treats and love.  It was incredibly hot, so we took lots of rest under trees and water offered by the vendors.  There was’t much of anything we were looking for in particular, but ended up spending SOOOO much money on treats for Ellie.  sigh. How can you resist this face!

Ellie Samoyed puppy attempt to play in water

Posted by on Jun 15, 2015 in Blog, Ellie our Samoyed, Family | 0 comments

Saturday was a beautiful sunny day, and Nick has been wanting to bring Ellie, our 4 month Samoyed puppy, down to the beaches for quite some time.  so off we go.  Walked past a lot of beach goers and heard the usual comments of “so fluffy”; “look at the polar bear”; “it’s like a cotton ball”.  Got to the off leash dog area, which has a shallow open water to Lake Ontario for dogs to jump in.  We wanted to see if Ellie would swim.  Supposedly she should know how intuitively.  whether she actually does it…well….

@ 0:36 sec is where she realizes she’s in the water

Appreciation for Italian foods

Posted by on Nov 7, 2012 in Blog, Random Thoughts | 0 comments

It’s been quite a hiatus away from our blog – thanks to the hectic work travel schedules aaaannnnndddd…our Italy honeymoon!

19 days of roaming the Italy country side: Milan, Florence, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Rome…now need time to sort out the 5000″ish” pictures and get it up on our travel blog.

here’s a few things that I have concluded that I need to do/make/learn/appreciate:

  • need to find a Toronto store that will sell good prosciutto ham, Italian cheeses
  • need to make more lemony desserts (other than lemon meringue pie)
  • need to learn and make home made fresh pasta
  • need to eat more ice cream to keep up with the twice a day gelato routine during honeymoon
  • await for my lemon tree (which Nick will be getting me for xmas)
  • continue our travel adventures
